COLONEL TAMMY STREET

Colonel Tammy D. Street is the Commander of the 109th Mission Support Group, Stratton Air National Guard Base, Scotia, New York.  She leads 390 Airmen responsible for providing Logistics, Civil Engineering, Security Forces, Force Support, Communications, and Contracting support for the employment of the only ski-equipped aircraft in the Department of Defense providing tactical airlift in remote Polar Regions, and ensures Airmen are trained, equipped, and ready to deploy worldwide to support state and national objectives.  
 
Colonel Street enlisted in the Kansas Air National Guard as a Personnel Specialist at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, in 1988.  She received her commission from Officer Training School in June 1996 and spent four years on active duty as an Acquisitions Officer before transferring to the New York Air National Guard in 2000. She has held multiple base and headquarters-level positions.  In 2017, Colonel Street deployed in support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and the Resolute Support mission, where she served as the Chief, Logistics Readiness Division, Combined Air Operations Center, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.  In this role, she led a 15-person team which provided oversight of logistics support in the Area of Responsibility, equipped 27,000 warfighters, and ensured the readiness of 256 aircraft at numerous operating locations.
 
Prior to her current position, Colonel Street was the Commander, 109th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Stratton Air National Guard Base, New York.
