Search and Rescue training

Chief Master Sgt. Ward Lacy, 109th Airlift Wing fire chief, oversees Airmen with the 109th Civil Engineer Squadron's Fire Department complete search and rescue training at Stratton Air National Guard Base, Scotia, New York, on July 17, 2014. Twelve firefighters participated in the training and more will take part in the coming months. The 109th AW rescue team leads a consolidated New York Air National Guard team comprised of personnel from the 106th Rescue Wing, Westhampton Beach, New York, and the 105th AW, Newburgh, New York. The teams are part of the National Guard Bureau's Domestic Operations Concept of Operations, supporting civil authoritiesas part of the National Response Framework.
