Airmen, aircraft continue Greenland season
Staff Sgt. Christopher Smith, 109th Maintenance Group, works on a propeller of an LC-130 "Skibird" at Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, on June 29, 2014. Two LC-130s and 70 Airmen from the 109th Airlift Wing out of Stratton Air National Guard Base, Scotia, N.Y., recently completed the fourth rotation of the 2014 Greenland season. The unit flies supply and refueling missions to various camps in support of the National Science Foundation and also trains for the Operation Deep Freeze mission in Antarctica.
