109th AW participates in National Disaster Medical System Exercise
Airman from the 139th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron of the 109th Airlift Wing, while working with civilian agencies, provide treatment during an exercise to simulated patients, Civil Air Patrol cadets, after they were brought to the base from the Aplaus Fire Department, Aug. 8, 2013. This exercise highlighted the vital function of the 109AW and 139AES in the National Disaster Medical System and homeland defense mission as well as the cooperation and coordination between the 109AW and New York state civilian medical and emergency management assets.
