Antarctic maintenance
Master Sgt. Richard Hall, assigned to the139th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, conducts a stray voltage check on LC-130 Assisted Take Off (ATO) mounting points at McMurdo Air Station, Antarctica, Nov. 8, 2017. Both Hall and the LC-130 are deployed to Antarctica in support of Operation Deep Freeze from the New York Air National Guard’s 109th Airlift Wing in Scotia, N.Y. This is the 30th season the 109th AW is providing ODF support. ODF is the logistical support provided by the Department of Defense to the U.S. Antarctic Program.
